With the big day fast approaching, talk up and down the country turns to which relatives Christmas day will be spent in the company of.
And it seems the royal family are no different from the rest of us.
Luckily for Meghan Markle the tricky decision has already been taken care of, as the Queen has reportedly asked her if she’d like to join the Windsors for dinner.
As her year long relationship with Prince Harry, 33, continues to blossom, Meghan, 36, has landed herself a guest spot at her ‘in-laws’ festivities, according to Closer.
The Suits actress is reportedly ‘thrilled’ at the prospect, although she has a few concerns about spending the holidays with the monarchy – and it’s not just about pulling crackers with the Queen.
But a day with Harry would leave Meghan thousands of miles away from her mum Doria in Los Angeles.
However it’s reported Kate Middleton has come up with the perfect solution.
“Kate’s offered to put Doria up in a guest bedroom at Anmer Hall,” said a source, in relation to the property on the Sandringham estate Kate shares with William.
“Kate was a bag of nerves the first time she did Christmas with the royals, so she knows exactly how daunting it must be for Meghan,” added the insider.
Mirror Online has contacted representatives for comment.
Although it could be Meghan’s first Christmas with the royals, it’s not the first time she’s been introduced to the Queen.
Meghan reportedly sat down for afternoon tea with her Majesty in October.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple were driven up to the Queen’s private entrance in a blacked out car for their informal hour-long meeting.
As rumours of an impending engagement continue to swirl between her and Prince Harry continue to mount, Meghan has been spotted in a wedding gown filming scenes for legal drama Suits, reports Hello! magazine.
Show creator Aaron Korsh confirmed that her character Rachel Zane will tie the knot in season seven.
According to the mag, Meghan and the crew were spotted in the King Edward Hotel in Toronto, with the star wearing the same £5,400 Anne Barge dress she wore in season five, although she didn’t get to wear it then because her wedding was postponed.
It comes after reports that she’s told execs that this season will be her last, with Prince Harry apparently gearing up to propose to Meghan the minute she wraps filming later this month.
