The royal rumour mill is buzzing with speculation that Prince Harry is about to sprinkle some cheer on the nation and announce his engagement to the American actress Meghan Markle any day now.
Betting has been suspended on an engagement announcement, and Ladbrokes are offering evens on a wedding next summer.
They are giving 4/1 on July, the month Harry’s parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana , got married , and 9/2 for a June wedding.
Jessica Bridge, of Ladbrokes, said: “Prince Harry will, of course, want to honour his mother, so it would not be a huge surprise if the couple were to get married in July like Charles and Diana did.”
Meghan, 36, is thought to now be living with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace and has moved her dogs to the UK as she prepares for a new life with him.
The couple have only been dating for 18 months, but are said to be “besotted” with each other. She has put her acting career on hold as she prepares to become a royal.
Harry, 33, has no official engagements next week, so he and Meghan could be off for a romantic holiday. Here, we take a look at what life could be like for Meghan if she marries her prince.

From the moment a ring is on her finger, Meghan is likely to be very busy in what would probably be only a few months before the big day.
If she walks down the aisle with Harry the eyes of the world will be on her – unlike at her first wedding when she tied the knot with film producer Trevor Engelson, now 41, in Jamaica in 2011 followed by a beach party.
Possible venues this time around would include Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral.
But the current favourite with Ladbrokes is Windsor Castle, at odds of 3/1. Designers would also be queuing to make the wedding gown.Possible choices include Erdem and Antonio Berardi, whose outfits she has worn to events with Harry.

Her fashion is already keenly followed but interest in her style is set to rocket if she has a ring on her finger.
When Meghan made her first public appearance with Harry in September in Finlay & Co’s Percy sunglasses the brand’s website crashed.
Claudia Joseph, author of How to Dress Like a Princess, says: “Meghan has the potential to be an even bigger style icon than Kate.
“Although Kate will have a more high-profile role, that means that Meghan can experiment more with fashion.” Her style icons include Olivia Palermo, Gywneth Paltrow and Miranda Kerr. As a royal, she would use fashion to honour the countries she visits by wearing their designers, colours and symbols.
